I am a retired, disabled Marine Corps veteran of multiple combat deployments who says “y’all” too much. I’m 6’ and 240lbs, because they said “Go big or go home” and I chose to do both. I’m divorced, with one adult child currently in college. I love video games, wood working, Dungeons & Dragons, axe throwing, and lifting weights. I also absolutely love Warhammer (fantasy and 40k). I’m a community leader at heart, and have proved it over decades of service to different communities both online and in person. I want to take the dedication, drive, and leadership skills I learned over my career to make Denton County better for everyone who lives here.I’m running for Denton County Judge because I believe in a Denton County where everyone, no matter their background or circumstances, has an equal shot at success. A Denton County where we don’t just talk about the problems, we tackle them head-on and build a future that works for all of us.
I’m not a career politician. I’m a retired Marine, a father, and someone who’s spent years leading and coaching people through life and tough decisions. My experience as a Marine has taught me the value of leadership, discipline, and putting the needs of others before my own. And that’s exactly the kind of leadership Denton County needs. I see folks complaining about Denton County, but then electing the same leadership for years. This needs to change.
I’ve spent a lifetime fighting for what’s right, whether it’s advocating for reforms, ensuring access to basic needs, or making sure that those who’ve served their country are given the respect, care, and opportunities we deserve. I know firsthand the struggles many Texans face every day, whether it’s affording healthcare, navigating the frustrations of a broken education system, or just trying to make ends meet. Hell, I’ve been broke more often than I’ve been paid. I’ve been tired and skeptical of the political process and our leadership more often than I’ve been inspired and excited.
I believe in bold, common-sense reforms that will put Denton County on the right track. We need to make sure everyone has access to transparent elections, affordable housing, and the opportunity to thrive. I want to give Denton County the tools we need to succeed.
Together, we can create a county where every resident has a voice, where we take care of our most vulnerable, and where we make sure no one gets left behind. A county that folks from other counties envy. A county full of folks who encourage each other to be better, not belittle or blame.
It’s time for a change. It’s time for leadership that listens, acts, and gets things done. Let’s build the county we all deserve together. I look forward to serving you as your County Judge, and will be honored by the opportunity.
